AppCleaner for MAC
Free app uninstaller for Mac that finds and removes the hidden files apps leave behind.
AppCleaner Overview
AppCleaner is a small, free app that thoroughly uninstalls Mac apps. When you install an app, it spreads support files, caches, preferences and other small files around your Mac, and dragging the app to the Trash leaves them behind. Drop an app onto the AppCleaner window and it finds those related files, so you can delete them all together with one click. AppCleaner is made by FreeMacSoft.
AppCleaner 3.7 needs macOS 15 or later; older versions for macOS 10.10 to 15 are still available on its website. It asks for Full Disk Access so it can remove every related file.
Key Features
AppCleaner keeps uninstalling as simple as dragging an app into a window.
- Drag and drop: drop an app onto the window to find all its related files.
- Complete removal: delete the app with its preferences, caches, support files and other leftovers.
- App list: browse your installed apps and pick the ones to remove.
- SmartDelete: AppCleaner can notice when you move an app to the Trash and offer to remove its leftovers too.
- Safe choices: review the list of files and untick anything you want to keep.
- Disk images: apps opened from a disk image are detected, and AppCleaner offers to remove the disk image file.

AppCleaner FAQ
Is AppCleaner free?
Yes. AppCleaner is freeware: free to download and use, with no paid version. You can support its developer, FreeMacSoft, with a donation.
Why not just drag an app to the Trash?
Dragging an app to the Trash removes the app itself but leaves behind its preferences, caches, support files and other small files. AppCleaner finds and removes those too.
How do I uninstall an app with AppCleaner?
Open AppCleaner and drag the app onto its window, or pick it from the list of installed apps. Check the related files it finds, then click Remove.
Which macOS version does AppCleaner need?
AppCleaner 3.7 needs macOS 15 or later. For older systems, the website offers version 3.6.8 for macOS 10.14 to 15.6, 3.6 for macOS 10.13 and 3.4 for macOS 10.10 to 10.12.
Why does AppCleaner ask for Full Disk Access?
macOS protects some folders, and without Full Disk Access AppCleaner may not be able to remove every related file. Since version 3.7, AppCleaner asks for it when you open it.
What is SmartDelete in AppCleaner?
SmartDelete is an optional AppCleaner feature that notices when you move an app to the Trash and offers to remove its leftover files as well.
Can AppCleaner remove apps that come with macOS?
No. AppCleaner can show the related files of system apps, but system apps themselves cannot be removed.
Can AppCleaner delete files I want to keep?
AppCleaner shows every file it found before removing anything, and you can untick any file you want to keep.
Is AppCleaner safe?

AmphetamineAmphetamine keeps your Mac awake. Start a session from the menu bar and your Mac won't go to sleep, indefinitely, for a set time, until a set time, while a file downloads or while a particular app is running. You can choose whether the display may sleep, whether the screen saver may start and whether the Mac stays awake with its lid closed. MonitorControlMonitorControl is a free, open-source app that lets you control the brightness and volume of an external display from your Mac, just as you would on an Apple display. Use the brightness and volume keys on your Apple keyboard, your own keyboard shortcuts or sliders in the menu bar, and MonitorControl shows the familiar macOS on-screen indicator. It is made by the MonitorControl team and released under the MIT license.System Utilities
BetterDisplayBetterDisplay gives you control over your Mac's displays from the menu bar. WhatCableUSB-C cables all look alike, but a charge-only USB 2.0 cable and a 240 W, 40 Gbps Thunderbolt cable are very different. WhatCable is a small menu bar app that tells you, in plain English, what each USB-C cable plugged into your Mac can actually do. For every port it shows a clear headline, such as Thunderbolt, display connected or charge-only cable, plus the cable's speed and power rating, the charger's power profiles and the connected device. When your Mac charges slowly, a banner points to the bottleneck, for example a cable rated below the charger.System Utilities
KekaKeka is the macOS file archiver. Drag files and folders onto Keka to compress them into a smaller archive, or double-click an archive to extract it. It creates 7z, ZIP, TAR, GZIP, BZIP2, XZ, LZIP, DMG and ISO files, and opens many more formats, including RAR, 7z, ZIP, TAR, ISO, DMG, LZH and CAB. You can protect archives with a password using AES-256 encryption, split large archives into parts, and exclude Mac-only files such as .DS_Store. Keka is made by Jorge García in Barcelona.System Utilities- AlDenteAlDente lets you set a charge limit for your MacBook's battery. Instead of always charging to 100%, your MacBook stops at the level you choose, for example 80%, which can help the battery keep its capacity for longer when the Mac is plugged in most of the time. AlDente runs in the menu bar and works with most Apple Silicon and Intel MacBooks. It is made by AppHouseKitchen.System Utilities
